Bolinas was no less wierd in daylight! We packed our cases & proceeded to the car via the
Gardens, We encountered a guy we named "stringy", he looked just like the scarecrow from The
wizard of Oz, With additional dreadlocks made from real string, Across the street we bought coffee from a booth & spied a lady in a kaftan walking a 3 legged dog.
We took a stroll along the beach & chatted with some guys who'd caught a Leopard shark. They appeared to be living in a collection of rubbish above the tide line.
Highway 1 seems to have been created by a bunch of drunken navvies, the camber of the road
recreates the feeling of sea sickness from dry land, Within the hour we were all ready to
abandon the ( fog covered ) scenic route in favour of not vomiting! However we persevered &
were rewarded by a view of some sea lions at a lighthouse view point, Ian narrowly missed
another mule deer.
The Giant Redwood forest was worth seeing, The trees were enormously tall but we had hoped
for trunks of more mamouth proportion.
Fort Bragg was our next stop & our Quality inn offered me my next laundry moment, Min & I
tested the indoor pool,
Weather here is cool & slightly grey, Quite normal we are told.
Tonight we went to Lee's Chinese & enjoyed an exceptionally good meal..time for bed,
Goodnight readers.
