Day 4 - North Rim / Drive to Las Vegas

Picture this..Sun creeps up over the majestic Canyon edge, Beautiful blue birds begin their
morning chorus & somewhere close by a flushing can be heard..yes min has blocked the bog.
God bless Martin & his spare fascilities.
We enjoyed an all u can eat breakfast buffet in this building here overlooking the canyon....Cholesterol overload was followed by a stroll along the canyon edge. We swiftly vacated our cabins muttering something about the bog being buggered (we know nothing).
The route out of the park included a stop at the north rim general store where we met a nice english couple..from Hayling Island!
We stopped at several view points & strolled to the canyon edge, risking life & limb with a
passing thunder storm threatening, we saw a mule deer grazing.
The journey included a drive through Zion national park where mobile signal blissfully
returned, Min & Martin spotted a field of Buffalo & took some snaps,
The rock formations reminded us of text book drawings of muscle with a sinewy texture , we travelled a recently opened tunnel burrowing more than a mile through the sandstone mountain.
Finally Las Vegas came into view, We arrived at the Tropicana well after 9 following the
usual battle with check-in, desperately trying to be allocated rooms that bear a passing
resemblance to those we booked on line.
Maureen (sat nav) saved the day by guiding us to our fave chinese "The Kung Fu" out by the 24 hr adult superstore, Martin noticed.
