Day 7 - Yosemite

On the trail of the Lonesome Pine..
What a night! Ian set the aircon to sub zero & Min " Jabby feet" Decided to practice her kick boxing all night. 06.10 a lovely little jack rabbit & I admired each other across the deserted meadow next to our hotel.

We eventually finished our breakfast & headed off to the Court House in the tiny town Of Independance, Imagine a town hall office in the 1940's with the addition of a steam driven computer & you have it.

Phase 1 of operation wedding was completed by filling in a form & parting with $34..a small price to pay for the next 40+ years of Joy ????

Within the hour we entered Yosemite national park, Just as we remembered the bleak desert gave way to rolling meadows & snow capped mountains.

We stopped at a bend in the river & waded through the shallows, the water was the temperature I like my frozen Margerittas. Mozzies the size of bats decided I was lunch, so with no further ado we abandoned river & set off again.

We stopped next at Tenaya Lake, a wonderful expanse of water with its own beach & a ban on Mozzies yippee! The kids found a full size log to use as a toy ( no relation to Mins north rim blockage! )
We travelled next to our wedding site & wow...You can see Bridal Veil Falls, Half Dome & El Capitan Mountain from the one point.
We carried on to Our Comfort Inn & within moments of checking in to Our Suite ( Martin has a broom closet opposite )

"Dan Dan the photo Man" our wedding photographer stopped by to introduce himself.
Time is now getting short so we skipped a shower, Boy do we pong !& made for "Savories" the latest eatery to open in Mariposa, we await our dinners, Martins treat Yum !
