The bustling market is crammed with flowers , fruit, arts & crafts of every conceivable type..
at Jonathans suggestion we stopped at The Athenian cafe for brunch..scrambled eggs, bacon & Ian had an omelette.
Min had her heart set on a visit to the aquarium ( or the all you can eat , pick your own fish Diner as Ian calls it ) they boast a 27LB very shy Octopus & some really groovy Seals & Sea Otters who entertained us with their antics.

hi everyone having a super fun time!!!!!
i loved the aquarium!! At the beginning there were pools of starfish, sea urchins, slimey stickey coral annd anemonies you could touch!!! The starfish are hard like rough concrete ,but some have fur that is very soft. The sea urchins are spikey but if you dont touch them hard they dont hurt. The corals were very odd they all looked different, my favorite one looked like a light pink rose and when you touch it, it grabs onto you and only lets go if you pull away gently, mummys favorite one as quoted 'looks like a mans rude bits!!!!'. There were sea otters at the aquarium that were very cute and had cute furry paws! one of the otters was floating on the top of the water with a hard hat on his tummy, we called him bob the builder. we saw jellyfish big and small their tenticles didnt look dangerous but i overheard a member of staff telling a little boy who said he wanted to hold one that they would kill him if he touched one! At the aquarium there is the biggest captive octopus a member of staff told us HER name is Buster??????? we didnt see much of buster, but we met her friendly rubber brother who had his picture taken with me!!! bye for now see you all when we get home ]:
Lots of love the one and only Hollie [: xxxxxxxx
Next we took a Harbour tour & saw the usual points of interest, plus the container port & learned about the local fuel vendors in the bay & viewed the dry docks etc.
Back on terra firma we headed home via the sea front gift stores.
Nathan had carved all our ice cubes into intricate flowers.
A shower & change of clothes & we are in the "Elephant & castle" pub a mere 5000 miles from home..we are sipping pints of beer & preparing mentally for tomorrows journey home, BOO HOO!
sleep well dear reader only 1 more exciting installment this year..xxx
